the groundhog saw his shadow few weeks ago which means six more weeks of lame, dreary, snowless winter, but something tells me different. maybe its that i havent seen snow in weeks, or maybe its that i hate wearing coats and have been pretty comfortable not wearing one this season, or maybe its that i saw a sight i only see during spring/summer. tonight as brad and i were coming home we passed the park by our house and i saw a beautiful sight....LARPERS! which means spring is near and they look better than ever! i think they have been making new swords and sewing capes all winter. i couldnt snap a picture of them because brad refused to go on a walk with me to capture them in the moment but heres a pic from last fall...
if you dont know what larpers are it stands for live action role play. apparently they pretend to play a video game in real life...example "i hit you for 10 damage." it is a rather odd concept to me, but its very entertaining. in short, i love the LARPERS and they play their game every thursday night in north park...you should sneak a peak...its pretty great!
